Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
1. Who operates this service
Artisan Ray Tech LLC operates Game Mapster. This policy explains how information is used when you browse maps, create an account, contribute markers, save progress, or send feedback.
2. Accounts, contributions, and saved progress
Creating an account requires an email address, password, and username. Appwrite processes authentication and account sessions. We use account identifiers to associate cloud discoveries, accessibility preferences, contributions, votes, and permissions with your account.
Shared markers, marker descriptions, and map contributions are public. Contribution records may identify their creator to support editing and moderation. Do not put personal or sensitive information in public contributions. Account discoveries and private feedback are not intended to be public.
We process account and progress information to provide the features you request, and security and moderation information to protect the service. Guest progress and signed-in account progress remain separate; signing in does not automatically upload guest discoveries.
3. Cookies, browser storage, and map caching
The service uses browser storage for guest discoveries, accessibility choices, account-specific preference caches, and cached map images. Authentication may use session cookies or browser session storage through Appwrite. These support sign-in, requested settings, persistence, and performance; they are separate from advertising consent.
You can clear site data or restrict cookies and storage in your browser. Clearing site data may remove guest discoveries and preferences, cached maps, and sign-in state. It does not by itself delete cloud account data or previously submitted feedback. Browser controls that block storage may prevent some features from working.
4. Feedback, screenshots, and technical information
Feedback includes the information you enter, your account identifier, selected page or map context, and the technical diagnostics disclosed in the form. Optional screenshots can contain personal information visible on your screen; review them before submission. Reports are sent to a private Gitea issue tracker, and a private receipt is stored through Appwrite for staff review.
Hosting and backend services receive technical request information such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, and timestamps to deliver and secure the service. Do not submit passwords, access tokens, payment details, or other sensitive information through markers or feedback.
5. Google advertising and third-party vendors
Advertising is not enabled until consent and publication checks are completed. When enabled, Google AdSense and its advertising partners may process online identifiers, IP addresses, device and browser information, and ad interactions to deliver, measure, and protect advertising, subject to applicable consent and privacy choices.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Other third-party vendors and ad networks may also use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads.
You can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google My Ad Center. You can also visit participating vendors’ websites or the Digital Advertising Alliance choices page to opt out of some third-party personalized advertising. These external choices do not replace any consent controls required on this site.
Before advertising is enabled, we require consent management appropriate to the audience. Personalized ads for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland require a Google-certified consent management platform. Where Google’s European consent message is available, use Privacy and cookie settings to review or withdraw your choice. Where applicable, Google’s US state regulations message provides a Do Not Sell or Share control. Declining advertising consent does not require buying a subscription or creating an account.
6. Service providers and international processing
Game Mapster uses Netlify for website hosting, an Appwrite backend for authentication, application records and map files, and a private Gitea tracker for feedback. If advertising is enabled, Google and participating advertising vendors also receive advertising-related information. These services may process information outside your country; their own privacy notices describe their processing where applicable.
The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google’s font servers, which receive technical information including your IP address and request headers to deliver those fonts. These font requests are separate from AdSense and can occur while advertising is disabled.
When a quest displays administrator-approved wiki artwork, your browser loads the image from that game’s approved wiki host, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and browser headers. We request these images without a page referrer. Wiki links open third-party sites governed by their own privacy notices. Quest links can be used without artwork when no image has been approved.
7. Retention and privacy requests
Account and cloud progress information is retained to provide your account and saved features. Contributions, moderation history, feedback, and operational records may be retained for maintenance, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations. No fixed automatic deletion schedule is promised by this policy; browser caches may be evicted independently by your browser.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the email below to make a request without signing in. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Deleting browser data is not a request to delete cloud data. Public contributions or moderation records may require separate review.
Where applicable, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
8. Children and changes to this policy
Game Mapster is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate. We will review audience and advertising settings before enabling advertising; this statement does not replace child-privacy obligations that may apply.
We may update this policy as the service or its providers change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Contact us with privacy or deletion questions using the email below.
