Map guide & data sources

Documentation updated: October 23, 2026

How to use the ARC Raiders tracker, interpret its coverage, and report problems without mistaking a checklist for live game data.

Choose a map and the correct layer

Open ARC Raiders from the homepage and choose a map in the sidebar. Blue Gate has Surface and Tunnels layers; Stella Montis has Level 1 and Level 2. Select the layer that matches the area you are studying before interpreting a location. A pin on one image is not a claim about the floor above or below it.

Map and layer selections update the page URL. Copy that URL to share the same map view with another person; it does not share your private found/not-found checklist. Browser back and forward restore map selections. If a published image cannot load, retry rather than treating the failure screen as a blank game map.

Build a useful view with the legend

Use Search locations to narrow the legend, then toggle individual location types or whole categories. Supplies & salvage, Plants & provisions, Extraction routes, Places & services, Quests, and Threats & encounters organize the available markers. Quest entries are grouped by quest name, so you can focus on one quest rather than displaying every objective.

Legend counts describe the full map dataset, not just the pins left visible after filtering. If a location seems missing, clear your search, restore hidden types, and turn off hide-found before assuming it was removed. A marker hidden by your filters is still part of the dataset.

For a focused checklist, show one location type, open a pin, inspect its details, and mark it found only when you decide it is complete. Then enable hide-found to reduce clutter. The checklist records your decision; it does not guarantee an item spawn, an accessible extraction, or quest completion in the game.

Keep guest and account discoveries separate

Guest progress is stored locally for each map. Clearing site data, changing browser profiles, or using a different device can leave you without that guest checklist. Signing in opens account progress instead; it does not merge or upload guest discoveries. Signing out restores the browser’s guest progress.

Account progress loads before cloud writes are allowed. If loading or saving fails, read the error and retry before assuming a change has reached another device. This is a convenience checklist with last-write-wins updates, not a transactional game record: avoid editing the same map checklist simultaneously on several devices.

Maps and layers have separate progress. Switching between Blue Gate Surface and Tunnels, for example, changes the image and its checklist rather than combining discoveries. A reset affects the selected map checklist and requires confirmation. It is not a way to delete your account or public contributions.

Where the images and starting locations come from

Published ARC Raiders map images are wiki-sourced originals. Open the selected map’s expanded details to see its image attribution, source link, and available license notice. Those credits describe third-party material; Game Mapster does not claim to have drawn those images or to be an official Embark Studios service.

The bundled Dam Battlegrounds import uses operator-supplied source records: 506 locations across 47 source types. It retains source identifiers and source-derived notes, while adapting the records to this tracker’s categories and image coordinates. The import is a starting dataset, not 506 independently researched or in-game-verified discoveries. Community additions and shared corrections are distinct from this bundled baseline.

The other six maps have image support but no bundled starting marker dataset. Their live community coverage may differ. An empty layer should be used for inspecting the image, not as a complete resource or quest guide. We do not infer missing locations from the artwork or populate maps with guessed pins.

Why the imported positions are approximate

The Dam import started with artificial source-map longitude and latitude, not real-world coordinates or measured game positions. Four cargo-elevator icon centers in a reference preview were used to align those records to an image. Terrain matching then transferred that alignment to the square wiki image used for publication.

That procedure makes the records usable on the image, but agreement between reference points does not prove every pin is exact. A screenshot crop, decorative icon offset, building interior, or changed game image can introduce an error. Treat a pin as an area to inspect, not a guaranteed doorway or precise spawn. The alignment must not be reused for unrelated maps or floors.

The starting import also leaves out off-terrain mission-list entries and an out-of-bounds cache rather than inventing positions. Source notes about loot, enemies, and access conditions have not all been independently checked. Verify the current situation in game; a saved discovery does not validate the underlying source claim.

Use the map without relying on color alone

Map pins are keyboard-accessible. Use the fit and zoom controls when you lose your place, and the sidebar level selector for multi-layer maps. Arrow Up and Arrow Down also switch layers on multi-layer maps when you are not typing in a field or working in a dialog.

Header Settings offers several color-vision palettes at no charge. These change category colors and add category symbols; they are display aids, not clinical simulations. Names and detailed icons remain available alongside color. Choose the palette you find easiest to distinguish.

Report a correction with enough context to check it

For an incorrect location, include the map, layer, marker name, and what differs in game. Explain whether the pin is misplaced, the note is outdated, or a condition is missing. A screenshot can help, but remove personal information and only upload material you have permission to share. Distinguish a single observation from a claim that a spawn or route always behaves that way.

Signed-in users can submit a private report through Feedback. You can also create shared markers and edit eligible contributions in the map viewer when those services are available. A private report is not itself a published map correction, and a community marker is not automatically verified by the operator. Changes need review; submitting a report does not guarantee a response or publication.

Game Mapster is operated by Artisan Ray Tech LLC and is independent of the game’s developer and publisher. This guide describes the tracker’s implemented behavior and known starting-data limitations, not a promise of complete game coverage. Updates should reflect checked changes to the tool or its sources, rather than a new date on unchanged claims.
